CASA - A Powerful Voice in a Child's Life!

"You go into the court room and you will see lawyers who know the law and have dozens of kids' files, or you have social workers who know the regulations and have dozens of kids' files.  But if a CASA volunteer is in the room, you will see that they have just one file, and what they know is that one child.  And that can make all the difference to the decisions regarding how the rest of that child's life is going to go."

Anna Quindlen, on CBS "The Early Show"

CASA of Lonoke County, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been helping abused and neglected children since 2000.

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained citizen who is appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.

A CASA volunteer acts as a fact finder of the child's best interest, providing the judge with valuable information on the child to help the court make a sound decision about the child's future.

If you love children and are looking for an exciting place to volunteer, CASA is for you!  Find out more about the program by exploring this website.  Information about volunteer opportunities, program news and events, and donation opportunities are included.
