WISH LIST

CASA of Lonoke County can always benefit from funds in order to help more children, but there are other items that are helpful to us as well.  Below is a "wish list" of things we could use throughout the year in order to serve our children better.

TOYS:  We can always use new, unwrapped toys in all different price and age ranges.  CASA supports a Christmas toy drive that ensures children who are placed away from their families during the holidays still receive gifts.

SMALL GIFTS:  CASA volunteers must build trust and rapport with their children and what better way to do this than playing together.  We can always use little games, coloring books and crayons, puzzles, bead kits, race cars, etc...  Any small and inexpensive items that may be left with child.

RESOURCE MATERIALS:  Books, videos and other items that can enhance CASA volunteer work are always in demand.  We strive to keep a diverse collection of resource materials to "keep us on our toes".  Any reference materials that would help us to better understand the children and families we work with are very much appreciated.

OFFICE SUPPLIES:  Not as fun as picking out toys, but the office is constantly in need of something!  From white out to new computer equipment - we can use just about anything.  Not sure what to get?  Gift certificates to Office Depot, Sam's Club or any local office supply store are a HUGE help!

And last, but not least . . .

FOSTER HOMES:  Of course this is no small wish.  Lonoke County seeks quality foster homes to care for these young victims of abuse and neglect.  If you or someone you know are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact Kristy Franks at 501.676.3113 or by email at kristy.franks@arkansas.gov.
